Home Functional fabrics Safety protection Arc flash protection (HRC2)
Arc flash is a phenomenon which happens when electric produce light and heat while conducting through ionized air. Typically, in less than a second, when the electric field is strong enough to destroy the dielectric feature of the air, arc flash will be occurred and can cause severe electrical burns or thermoacoustic shock wave.

Combining OPF(pre-oxidized) & para-aramid fiber to provide high-level thermal resistance and adopting rayon to provide soft skin-friendly and breathable properties for clothing.
According to NFPA 70E standard, the Arc thermal performance value (ATPV) of Sunny Special fabric could reach 8.4 cal/cm2 and cause less than 15% (second and third degree) predicted body burn injury to the human body which conducted by ASTM F1930 minikin test.
