About Flash Fire & Welding Protection

This series is aimed to protect industrial workers from short-term thermal exposure to fire and spatter. Our FR Fabrics are certified by multiple flashfire standards including NFPA 2112, EN ISO 11612, and EN ISO 11611. Sunny Special flame retardant fabrics are constructed by inherent flame retardant fiber, which makes the fabric flame retardant without any chemical treatments.

Why choose our Flash Fire & Welding Protection Series?

  1. In order to prevent unpredictable flash fire accidents, Sunny Special adopts multi-fibers blending (OPF, modacrylic, rayon, and aramid fibers) not only to have better thermal resistance, but also take comfort and breathability into account for workers.
  2. With excellent heat resistance feature, our fabrics could easily deal with the sparks erupted during electric welding.

Sunny Special AD008AZ

AD008AZ

The golden combination of OPF (pre-oxidized), rayon, and aramid provides fabric with protection against arc flash and spatter generated by welding. It is suitable for every style of workwear.

  • Flash fire and arc flash protection
  • HRC2 rating
  • Welding protection
  • Lightweight and comfortable

Inherent VS Treated FR

We choose Inherent FR fabric instead of treated FR fabric to build your workwear because Inherent FR properties are built into the fiber naturally and cannot be washed out or worn away. Hence, you get a more durable fabric with a longer lifespan and a better value.
